The Household Cavalry Museum is a living museum in the heart of Horse Guards, Whitehall, London. Unlike any other military museum it offers a unique “behind- the-scenes” look at the work that goes into the ceremonial and operational role of the Household Cavalry Regiment. The Household Cavalry Museum is about real people doing a real job in a real place and the colourful 350 year old history of the British Army’s two senior regiments. You can see troopers working with horses in the original 18th century stables and hear first hand accounts of their rigorous and demanding training. The experience comes alive with compelling personal stories, interactive displays and stunning rare objects – many on public display for the first time. Why not combine your visit to The Household Cavalry Museum with other famous attractions and activities in London such as Afternoon Tour Of London or Bateaux London Dining Cruises Audiovisual Tour A multi media guide (included in the entry fee from April 1st 2014) outlines The Household Cavalry’s history and achievements with soldiers describing what it is like to serve in the Regiment today on ceremonial duty or in combat.
