Leaving Perth you head through the Perth Hills and escarpment and enter farming country. Heading east you enjoy morning tea (own expense) at historic York, the first township founded in the Avon Valley. From there you travel the Wheatbelt Highway through agricultural towns of Corrigin and Kondinin and finally; through outback farming country – giving a glimpse of Australian country life. Stopping briefly at the infamous Dog Cemetery; a shrine to man’s best friend and an integral part of farming life. Then visit Hippo’s Yawn, a rock formation which resembles a hippo yawning. You then break for an Aussie country style lunch (included) at the Wildflower Shop. You then move on to see the spectacular Wave Rock and the ancient Gnamma Holes. Whilst here visit either a Wildlife Park, view a unique Antique Lace Collection even featuring lace from Lady Diana, or visit an amazing Toy Soldier Museum. Leaving Wave Rock you visit The Humps and finally Mulka’s Cave. This tour will return to Perth via a different route and stop at the quaint country town for afternoon tea (own expense). Wildflower viewing stops are made en route (seasonal) with an arrival back in to Perth at approximately 20.30.
